This Ads Policy applies to all advertisements shown on SmartBuy. It is designed to protect users, comply with Ghanaian law, and maintain a trusted marketplace.
1. Lawful and Compliant Ads
All ads must comply with applicable Ghanaian laws and regulations, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), consumer protection laws, and advertising standards.
2. Prohibited Content
We do not allow ads that:
Promote illegal activities or products
Contain false, misleading, or deceptive claims
Promote hate, harassment, or discrimination
Contain adult or sexually explicit content
Promote dangerous, violent, or harmful content
Promote scams, phishing, or malware
3. Restricted Content
Some content may be restricted or require additional review, including financial services, gambling, alcohol, and medical/health claims. Such ads must meet all local legal requirements.
4. User Safety and Experience
Ads must be clearly labeled and must not imitate system alerts or app UI. Ads must not disrupt essential app functionality or mislead users into unintended actions.
5. Targeting and Privacy
We do not allow targeting based on sensitive personal information (such as health, religion, or political views). We respect user privacy and do not sell personal data.
6. Enforcement
“SmartBuy may remove or block ads at any time. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of advertising access.
